  • Gotta really love the idea that the world will end because some ancient people made a calender and had to choose an end date to the calender. On that basis the world will actually end January 31, 2013, because that's the last date on my bank's free calender.

  • How bogus? I was thinking the article might give some some insight as to whether my last name/wife's former last name she retained, was good/bad; or whether my picked names on two other accounts indicated I might seem to be a flake - but it's more about whether we are G-mail, Yahoo or whatever.

  • I've got to believe the officer. Now granted, one personal story or incident doesn't "prove" anything. But a co-worker and I were weed-eating a slope of brush. Next day he calls in "sick" with poison oak, takes a week off.

  • It is rather hard for me to justify myself judging others when I don't know all the details, which only those involved know. Shucks, I'm divorced myself, and there are multiple sides to that long story.

  • Nice idea, spike; you want to pay for the lawsuit when a kid hurts him or her self? I understand the feeling, but let's try to be more real instead of just outshouting both the sympathic crybabies plus those who defend her by accusing us of myriad sins. I say it, write it or do it - I own it.

  • This is not a fine for parking on the lawn; this is a fine for being stupid! Hooray for her, "she's so special she doesn't have to think" I'm not going to take a chance of hurting my tires and wheels driving over a curb. If she did, she'd probably sue the city.

  • If a bomb can be put in a shoe, we're damn lucky they don't institute cavity searches. But, right now, you can drive, take a train, bus or boat - or maybe, I'm too poor to know - take a private plane if one wants to avoid X-rays and pat-downs.

  • Big deal! Considering all the money spent and dirt shoveled in elections, such matters ought to be considered, investigated and challenged by opposing candidates in the primaries and final election. If Obama isn't eligible (which I doubt), I of course blame him -and Hillary C. and John Mc.

  • The tax rates are somewhat fair, except for the rich or super rich. The rich pay way too much taxes - if they are stupid. Being rich doesn't automatically make one smart; hey, one might be a jock or entertainment star (which doesn't automatically make one stupid).
